If you have the right people in your corner, the home-buying process doesn’t have to be stressful. It could even be a little fun!

Buying a house for the first time is a momentous milestone on one’s financial journey. It’s the start of a new chapter in life; a real-life, brick-and-mortar testament to years of hard work and discipline.
Yes, we understand, the first-time home-buying process can be a bit of a… process. It can be demanding, time-consuming and a little bit complicated. But it’s incredibly exciting, and we at Navigant Credit Union believe it should be treated as such.
In fact, we think the process should be fun!
That’s why, earlier this summer, we decided to host Burgers, Beer & Buying – a comprehensive first-time home-buying seminar held at The Guild in Pawtucket. We invited anyone who was interested in learning more about the home-buying process to join us in The Guild’s taproom, enjoy a few pints, eat some dinner, ask questions, and learn.
Our goal for this event was to create a comfortable environment in which folks could chat with experienced professionals about what they should expect when they’re ready to pull the trigger on buying their first home. And if we’ve learned anything in the last 104-plus years, it’s that a seamless, stress-free, successful home-buying process is a coordinated team effort. Prospective buyers need to know they have a team of professionals in their corner, ready to help them navigate every step of the process.
With that in mind, we brought a diverse lineup of our colleagues and partners from every corner of the industry to The Guild to share their insight and expertise. Together, we made an effort to cover every aspect of the home-buying process. Plus, we had a great evening getting to know a whole lot of people from all over the state.
We want to thank all of our partners for volunteering their time and expertise to make our first Burgers, Beer & Buying seminar a success, and we thank everyone who attended for their interest in the topic.
We’re looking forward to re-creating this event in new locations across the state, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, if you’re considering homeownership – no matter how early you are in the process – give us a call. We’re always here to help.
