People helping people. That’s what a credit union, and in particular Navigant Credit Union, is all about. We are committed to the financial well-being of the families, businesses, and communities we serve, and have been since our founding in 1915. That’s why we donate over $500,000 dollars each year to worthwhile causes and organizations throughout Rhode Island.
Whether seeking sponsorship for a little league team, having an event for a special cause, 5k walk/run, charity golf event, or requesting lifesaving equipment for a local public safety department, these organizations are making a difference in the lives of our communities – and we want to help that mission as best we can.

VForce is our staff volunteer program. If VForce sounds like a group of superheroes, well, we like to think it is. Developed by Navigant’s leadership team, the VForce program encourages all employees to volunteer 8 hours each year during their regular working hours, and of course, receive their regular pay for that time. Our employees engage in their communities in a multitude of ways – from serving on boards or committees to coaching a youth sports team to stocking shelves at the Food Bank.
Since our founding in 1915, Navigant Credit Union has been working to give people an alternative to the traditional banking model. We help individuals and small businesses that need some support in order to achieve their own personal American Dream. Everyone needs a financial partner they can trust, whether that is for saving their hard-earned assets, or borrowing money for those times when savings just isn’t enough.
Over the past 20 years, Navigant Credit Union has awarded more than $250,000 to area high school students to help them in their pursuit of a college or technical degree. We understand how important it is to make higher education affordable for students from all walks of life. The Navigant Credit Union Scholarship is one small way we help our members to enjoy life’s journey.
With a focus on providing financial education to learners of all ages, Navigant Credit Union has partnered with the General Treasurer’s office to provide the EverFi™ – Financial Literacy programs, an engaging, online resource that uses video, animations, and interactive activities to bring complex financial concepts to life.
